Electrical contractors that possess a Master Electrician number provided by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) should complete the following:

• Contractor Electrical Permit

Contractors who do not possess a Master Electrician number from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professions Services (DSPS) may perform wiring as stated within Wisconsin Legislature: 101.862(4) and should complete the following:

• Low-Voltage Electrical Permit

Homeowners who occupy the residence and want to pull their own permit will need to complete the following:

• Homeowner Electrical Permit

• Any person who is not a master electrician may install, repair, or maintain electrical wiring only if a master electrician is at all times responsible for the person's work.

Homeowners may install those items listed on the Homeowner Electrical Permit Application.

If you would like to complete an item that is not listed on the application, please contact the Electrical Inspector for more information.

This permit only covers the installation and inspection of the wiring including the wiring of the system devices and associated equipment only,  Please see below .

The installation or modification of a fire alarm system also requires the installer to contact the City of Oak Creek Fire Department at 414-570-5630 or check their website for further requirements.
