Residents of homes & condos that have City provided garbage & recycling pickup may request a special pickup for a fee of $50
The same fees that are charged at the Recycling Yard apply for TVs and appliances with freon.
Special pickups are done each Friday morning.
Items need to be road-side by 6:45 am.
Fees must be prepaid by noon on the Thursday prior to pick up.
Payment can be made in person at the Department of Public Works at 800 W. Puetz Road between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday or by mailing a check to the same address, payable to the City of Oak Creek. Along with the check include a list of items being picked up, the Friday date you are looking to have it picked up, your name, address and phone number.
We only accept cash or checks.
Doors need to be removed from refrigerators & freezers.
Carpet & padding rolls must not exceed 4’ in width.
Small, loose items must be bagged or boxed.
We do not pick up the following:
Concrete, Gravel, Brick or Block
Dirt
Shingles
Recyclables
Hazardous Materials
Tires
Paints
Batteries
Fluorescent Bulbs
Leaves
Grass clippings
Brush/branches
Spring & Fall Cleanups
Citywide garbage cleanups are held beginning on May 15th and October 1st of each year (or the following Monday if on a weekend).
Residential homes & condos that have City provided garbage & recycling pick-up are included in the cleanups.

Branch Pickups
Branches are picked up beginning May 1st, July 1st, September 1st & November 1st of each year (or the following Monday if on a weekend).
Branches must be stacked at curb or roadside prior to these dates to be guaranteed a pick-up but no earlier then 2 weeks prior.
Branches must be stacked neatly with cut ends towards the street.
Branches resulting from lot clearing or a contractor doing work on your property will not be picked up.
Root balls should be separate from brush pile.
Stumps should not exceed 3' in width.
Branches may be brought into the recycling yard year round.
Christmas Trees
Residents of homes & condos that have City provided garbage pickup may place their real Christmas trees at the curb throughout the month of January to be collected and disposed of by the Department of Public Works.
Leaves
The City does not pick up leaves curbside.
Leaves may not be placed in the streets, alleys or sidewalk areas.
Residents may dispose of their leaves at the recycling yard.
