Home MenuNeighborhood Watch Program
Neighborhood Watch is a program that was created to involve citizens in the prevention of residential crime. The program encourages citizens to secure their homes and personal property; to protect themselves and their neighbors by reporting any suspicious activity to the police; and to help make the Police Department more effective in its fight against crime through neighborhood involvement and participation.
We need your help to protect you and your property. The purpose of Neighborhood watch is to REDUCE CRIME. Neighborhood Watch communities enjoy a reduction not only in burglaries, but in all forms of crime. Our Community Resource Bureau helps to educate residents on crime prevention and awareness. We encourage you to start a program in your area today.
For more information on how to get a Neighborhood Watch program started in your neighborhood, please contact the Community Resource Bureau by email or call (414) 766-7624
Dog Walker Watch Program
As a part of Neighborhood Watch, many people are out in the course of the day which can assist with providing additional information to assist law enforcement. Those that commonly walk their neighborhood, walk their dog and/or run/bike around have a good idea of what is normal for the neighborhood.
We will be hosting an informational meeting on June 12th at the Oak Creek Police Department to provide additional situational awareness and observation skills and offer advice on how to set up a Neighborhood Watch Program.
