The Oak Creek Police Department recognizes the benefits derived from allowing citizen ride-alongs. Persons 18 years of age and older who wish to participate in the program may complete the Citizen Ride Along Release:

The supervisor in charge of Citizen Ride Alongs will review the release/online application and contact the submitter. Persons attending school to attain a degree in Police Science or Criminal Justice and those engaged in formal research will receive preference. Those approved for a Citizen Ride Along will be scheduled for a 4-hour ride along. Those who have previously completed a Ride Along will not be allowed to do a Citizen Ride Along more than once during a 12 month period.
