If you live on residential property and would like to burn your yard waste, we ask that you contact the dispatch center at (414) 762-8200 and give them the following information:

• Address
• Telephone number
• Material to be burned
• Start and end times

You may take your old fire extinguishers to the City of Oak Creek Public Works department located at 720 W. Puetz Road for disposal.  Please visit the Public Works website for hours of operation. 

The Fire Department retains the services of Lifequest, a billing agent, to handle ambulance billing.  Ambulance bills can be paid online by visiting Lifequest's website or by mailing a check to the address provided on your bill.  The Fire Department is unable to accept payment.

If you have any questions regarding your bill, you can visit Lifequest's website or call them at 800-786-4911.  If they are unable to help you, please call Fire Administration at (414) 570-5630 and they will be happy to help you.

No hibachi, grill, or other similar devices used for cooking, heating, or any other purposes shall be used or stored on any balcony, under any overhanging portion, or within 10 feet of any structure.  Please note that property owners and managers may adopt rules stricter than those adopted by the Fire Department.  Please refer to any local agreements to determine additional restrictions.

Individuals that cause damage, injury, or death as a result of the violation of this code may be held responsible.  Please be fire safe for your safety as well as that of your neighbors.

The yellow capped fire hydrants are owned and maintained by the Water Utility.  If you see a problem with your hydrant, please notify the Water Utility by calling (414) 570-8210.  However, it is your responsibility to shovel snow from around the fire hydrant located on your property.  The Fire Department needs 3 feet of clearance on all sides of the hydrant to properly connect fire hoses.  When there is a fire, time is of the utmost importance.  Each minute that firefighters have to spend shoveling around a hydrant is another minute that could be spent fighting the fire.
