Reasons for the Project

The Engineering Department completed its bi-annual street ratings in the fall of 2023. Engineering completed its analysis of this information and provided a list of potential 2024 Road Improvement candidates to the Board of Public Works and Capital assets. On December 12, 2023, the Board of Public Works evaluated the potential 2024 Road Improvement candidates and recommended the following streets for rehabilitation under public contract. 

The Common Council adopted Resolution No. 12462-121923, selecting and authorizing the 2024 road improvements for design and public bid. 

Payne and Dolan, Inc., was awarded the contract to complete the paving project on May 7, 2024.

The link below will provide an overview map containing the locations of roadway segments that are part of this year's paving projects and the type of treatment.

Work at the E. Puetz Road Railroad Crossing has been completed, and the microsurfacing treatment along Forest Hill Avenue, S. Lauree Lane, S. Cecily Drive, and E. Puetz Road has been placed.

Work along S. Nicholson Road, from Old Ryan Road to E. Puetz Road, is anticipated to begin the week of September 2nd.  

King Aurthur Court is estimated to start the week of September 23rd.

E. Elm Road, W. Oakwood Road (S. Howell Ave to Opus Drive) and S. Alisa Lane are anticipated to start the end of September.
