I grew up on the south side of Milwaukee. After graduating from Thomas More High School, I enlisted in the US Coast Guard. I have served for the past 20 years both on active duty and in the reserves. I attended MATC in Oak Creek where I graduated with an Associates in Fire Science. I received a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a finance emphasis from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, NJ while on active duty. I attended UW-Milwaukee where I was awarded a Master's in Business Administration. In my current job, I work as a Forensic Investigator for the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office. In my personal life, I am married with 3 kids and have lived in Oak Creek's 2nd district for the past 10 years.
What is unique about your District?
The 2nd district is unique in that it is currently seeing a large amount of development. With the continuation of Drexel Town Square, the recent opening of a new elementary school, and the future with IKEA's addition, the district will be an important part in moving Oak Creek forward and solidifying it as a desirable destination city in south eastern Wisconsin. It was important to me to be a part of recognizing the importance of development while maintaining the neighborhood feel that the residents have come to love.
Why did you choose to Apply to be the Alderman for your District?
I chose to pursue the aldermanic vacancy in the 2nd district because I was looking for a way to get more involved in decisions directly affecting the community. I have served in various government and civic capacities since graduating high school and feel that it is important to serve in whatever capacity possible to make a difference. I look forward to listening too and discussing current topics with residents of the 2nd district and representing them to the best of my ability.
